During an investigation, Oakley shockingly discovers that the renowned healer he's been desperately searching for is somehow connected to his wife! Furthermore, all traces of some top-level experts astonishingly point towards the same person... "Cynthia Lindsey, who exactly are you?"
Cynthia Lindsey lay on an examination bed attached to medical instruments and could hear the conversation between a man and a woman.
The man said, "Miss Harrison is quite unfortunate. She just came from the countryside to live with her biological parents, but her father sent her to the operating table to have her kidney removed. What a pity for such a beautiful girl."
The woman reminded him, "Lower your voice. She doesn’t know that she’s about to lose a kidney."
The man scoffed, "What's there to be afraid of? She has been injected with enough anesthesia and will remain unconscious until the operation is over. Have the compatibility results come out yet?"
The woman replied, "Yes, they are mostly in line with the requirements for transplantation. Mr. Harrison's condition is deteriorating and can't be delayed any longer. The operation is scheduled for seven o'clock tonight."
Lifting Cynthia's T-shirt, the man gently touched her waist. "Making a hole in such smooth and delicate skin is heartbreaking indeed."
As the man aimed to take further advantage, Cynthia suddenly opened her eyes which were filled with deadly coldness.
The woman was shocked. "She's awake! Quickly, give her an intravenous injection."
Reacting as fast as he could, the man picked up the anesthesia, but before he could proceed, Cynthia slapped him across the face..
"How dare a scum like you touch my body?"
The anesthesia fell to the floor.
Cynthia didn't give him a chance to catch his breath. She briskly got up, raised her leg, and kicked him hard in the chest.
Catapulted across the room, the man coughed out a mouthful of blood.
The woman, seeing the situation getting out of hand, made a dash for the door.
Before her hand could even touch the door handle, she felt numb all over. A silver needle was shot into the back of her neck.
Turning her head, she saw Cynthia casually twirling an unusually designed spinning pen.
The needle had been shot out from inside the pen.
"You..."
Before she could say anything else, she passed out without warning.
The man was terror-stricken, quivering all over. "Don't come over. We're just fulfilling someone's command."
Cynthia sneered. "You were going to take my kidney without my permission. Doctor, your career is over."
Without giving him a chance to beg for mercy, Cynthia injected him with the anesthesia that was meant for her.
Watching the two simultaneously faint, Cynthia patted her hands.
She took off the white coat hanging on the hanger and put it on leisurely.
With a mask on and the door closed, she left the place without attracting any attention.
The two idiots thought they could drug her by taking the opportunity to draw blood for a DNA test, but they didn't know she had been prepared in advance.
A few days ago, a man claiming to be her father came to her, saying that she was the biological child of the Harrison family who had been left outside.
The man was named Gordon Harrison, a well-known figure in the catering industry in Maramland.
Upon learning that his daughter had been suffering in the countryside with his ex-wife, he was utterly determined to compensate her for the years of neglect.
But there was one prerequisite, Cynthia had to come to this private hospital for a paternity test.
Cynthia was not expecting this strange kinship, but she was curious. Did Gordon suddenly come to her because he had a hidden plot?
So, she went along with their plan and played along.
Sure enough, things were not that simple.
Gordon didn't want to compensate her; he just wanted her kidney for his son.
Good! Very good!
Cynthia's life motto was that if someone didn't offend her, she wouldn't offend them. But if someone offended her, she would certainly retaliate!
Since the Harrison family wished to extract her kidney, she would return a unique gift to them.
Meanwhile, a contract signing ceremony was taking place at the top-floor of Joy Hotel.
The Stuart family, with its century-long history, held a superior position in Maramland.
The head of the family, Oakley Stuart, was young but a legendary figure.
The person fortunate enough to sign a contract with the Stuart family was Keira Harrison, a genius girl who was born in a wealthy family and was hailed as a new star in the hacker world.
The network security system she designed recently won an award, and her fame in Maramland was unmatched.
Oakley saw the potential in Keira. Before she had finished her studies, he had already set her as a predetermined choice.
At the signing ceremony, in addition to Oakley's bodyguards and assistants, Keira's parents also attended.
"Mr. Stuart, we're so honored that Keira can cooperate with you in the future," said Gordon. He was incredibly elated about finally establishing a relationship with the illustrious Stuart family and even temporarily forgot his son who was waiting for a kidney transplant in the hospital.
His wife, Lexie Harrison, was once a famous actress in the entertainment circle. With a smile on her face, she praised Keira, "With the security system designed by Keira, I’m sure Joy Hotel will have nothing to worry about."
Faced with the enthusiasm of the Harrison family, Oakley maintained his basic etiquette.
Keira was sneaking glances at him.Oakley was a man of outstanding appearance and noble aura, and he was on a different level from the rich second-generation she had met.Becoming Mrs. Stuart was Keira's life-long dream.
In the middle of the gleeful exchange, the lights started flickering. Lexie was confused and asked, "What’s happening?"
More than a dozen bodyguards suddenly rushed over from different directions, protecting Oakley in a defensive posture.
Their movements were so quick that the Harrison family couldn't react in time.
Suddenly, with a "bang", the million-dollar crystal lamp on the ceiling exploded.
The explosion triggered the fire alarm, and water began spraying down from the ceiling.
A bodyguard swiftly opened a black umbrella, sparing Oakley from getting wet.
However, Oakley sat in his chair like a king, calm and composed, showing no surprise at this sudden incident.
Lexie screamed, "Is there a fire?"
Keira tried to reassure her, "Mom, keep calm. Remember whose territory we're in."
Joy Hotel was an asset of the Stuart family, and just a few hours ago, it started using the security system designed by Keira.
Keira didn't expect to be embarrassed so soon. The system had been running for less than a day and had already encountered such an emergency.
Soon, a bodyguard turned off the alarm, and the constant sprinkling of water gradually stopped. The bodyguard with the umbrella respectfully stepped aside.
The door was pushed open from outside, and Cynthia, wearing a black duckbill cap, walked in uninvited.
She was tall and well-proportioned. Although her hat obscured half of her face, it failed to conceal her natural beauty.
When Oakley saw her face clearly, a touch of surprise flickered across his eyes.
Was it her?
Noticing that the bodyguards were trying to attack her, he silently stopped them and signaled them to watch and see.
He wanted to see what kind of game this woman was playing.
Cynthia glanced at Oakley and then completely ignored his existence.
The first to react was Gordon. "Cynthia, why are you here?"
Shouldn't she be at the private hospital for a kidney transplant compatibility test at this time?
Cynthia threw a test report at him.
"You said that as long as I can prove that we are father and daughter, you will give me half of the Harrison family's property. The DNA result is here. Is it time to fulfill your promise now?"
